My mission is to provide a place for people to find well made dollhouse furnishings and handcrafted items year round.
Who I am: I am Sheri O'Brien. I tried my hand at just about every craft that came along. I was better at some than others, but I can talk about almost any medium intelligently. I am married to a retired sailor and we have a grown son. I grew up in SE Portland. My husbands career took us away for many years but we came back when he retired. When my husband was stationed in San Diego, CA, I started selling my work at craft bazaars, and later at the Naval Base. When we moved to Bremerton WA, I found consignment shops for my work. When we move to Portland in 1996, I continued with bazaars and consignment shops. I watched what the owners of the consignment shops were doing and paid attention to what was working for them and what was not working.
I am the current president of the Historic Oregon City Merchants Association, a member of the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce, NAME (National Association for Miniature Enthusiasts), and member of the Oregon City Miniaturists.

We have just received a beautiful pink 3 story home fully finished Victorian house from Melissa and Doug. You just need about 2 hrs and a screwdriver to put it together and start playing.
We also have a new shipment of the room accessories from Melissa and Doug. There are 6 rooms to choose from at only $15 each why not do the whole house?
If you are looking for a house kit to finish to your own taste with lights and wallpaper I have those also.
The DIY (do it yourself) shelves are getting full. Come in and see the kits I have just found from THE HOUSE OF MINIATURES. There are only a few and I know they will go fast.
Why I am here:
While working the Christmas bazaar circuit I would often hear from the customers, "where were you when I needed that thing". I realized the people who seek out the handmade items they find at the bazaars need a place where they could shop year round.
I discovered a need for miniatures in the area when students were coming to me to find items for the dioramas they were making in school. I am now the primary source for miniatures in all scales in the Portland/Vancouver area.
We are located on a busy block in Downtown Oregon City
My promise:
I will have a varied selection of miniatures and hand crafted items. If I don't have what you need I will do my best to find it for you.
